The Gadget - Gest is a new way of working with your computer. It understands your hand and finger positions with a high degree of precision, so you can use it to get things done in a more intuitive way. It’s beautifully designed, light, and comfortable. Gest conforms to your hand size and shape through its adjustable palm strap and moldable finger mounts.

Personalization 

We’re building Gest to be an extension of your body, as intuitive and flexible as using your own hands. For example, undoing an action could be as simple as swiping your hand to the left.
While this gadget may be one-size-fits-all on the outside, on the inside it’s all about you. Everyone moves their hands in unique ways; the way you point at the screen is probably different than your friend. Over time, Gest learns how you perform common gestures, like pointing, swiping, flicking, and grabbing. It also monitors your own custom gestures to ensure precision and accuracy. This is all made possible from our statistical model that adapts to each user, making Gest the most accurate gestural interface on the market today.

Precision & Speed

Our finger tracking technology is extremely low latency (40-60 ms), which means higher accuracy and more recognized gestures. We packed 15 discrete sensors into each hand so that this gadget has an accurate picture of what your hand is doing, no matter its orientation. 
Whether you’re drawing, typing, modeling, presenting, or composing, Gest can learn the meaning of those motions and help you get things done fast!

What can you do with Gest?

Design

The first application integration that will be available day one is Photoshop, so anyone who designs for a living will love Gest right out of the box!
With a simple flick of a finger, you can add an adjustment layer and adjust its value. Or you can add layers, undo an action, or change your brush size, all without putting down your stylus and take yourself out of the creative process!

Typing

Gest was born out of our frustration with typing on tiny on-screen keyboards on our cell phones. We couldn’t find any portable keyboards that were efficient, comfortable, and accurate, so we initially created Gest with typing in mind. 
Our typing system is an experimental feature, and to make it great we need some brave folks to help test and improve the system. If you can type without looking at the keyboard and would like to try it out, make sure to select two Gest controllers to unlock typing functionality.

How Growver Save Water



The only way to distribute water efficiently and evenly is to place it directly where it’s needed. That’s what Growver does – by driving back and forth on the lawn and watering a 20-inch (500mm) wide path. First Growver’s sensors guide it along the boundary wire. After watering the perimeter, Growver fills in the entire area using patent-pending sensor technology to follow the wet-dry transition. Measurements from grass moisture sensors and water-flow data let Growver intelligently adjust watering depth. Growver stops automatically when the entire area is watered.


The entire process completes without wasting a drop of water on the pavement. Irregular areas like this are a real problem for sprinklers!

There are 3 ways to use Growver:

  • Fill Mode is the normal operating mode. Growver irrigates along and then inside an area defined by the perimeter wire.
  • Outline Mode has Growver following the wire until a  very sharp (90 degree or less) bend which marks the end of the irrigation run. This mode is useful for long, narrow areas.
  • Remote Mode allows manual Growver operation from a mobile device via Bluetooth. Just sit back and drive Growver around while enjoying your favorite cold drink. No perimeter wire is required. You can even lay out a wet perimeter using remote control, then let Growver automatically fill it in.

How it Works

Step 1: Gather your materials

Turn on Artbrew, grab a pre-created Artpack (or your own malt, hops, yeast, etc.), and a jug or container of water (typically 5.5L).  

Step 2: Select your beer

Using the LCD screen, select the beer type you would like to brew from our built-in recipe library - or - create your own recipe through our App. Every beer recipe has its own specific ingredients,  including malts, hops, and yeast. Users can not only choose Artbrew's high-quality Artpacks, but they can also source their own ingredients from local brewers and markets.

Step 3: Add ingredients

Open the panels on top of Artbrew and pull out the lids to expose the MiniKegs where you will pour your ingredients. Following the LCD screen’s instructions, pour in the correct amount of water (typically around 5.5L) and the correct ingredients found in your recipe’s corresponding Artpack (or your own customize recipe). The malts and hops are already inside the package, which you can re-order more of at anytime through the Artbrew app.   

Step 4: Start Brewing

Press "Start" and Artbrew will automatically start! Initially, ArtBrew will begin "mashing" (the process of combining hot water and malt for getting the 'malty' liquid known as Wort). Then, the wort will need to be sterilized through boiling and by adding hops. Finally, Artbrew will ferment for 1 to 3 weeks in a process that converts the wort to beer with yeast. Artbrew controls the temperature and pressure according to the recipe's requirement. Lastly, you'll be able to pour your fresh brewed beer directly from ArtBrew's tap - enjoy!

What is it?

The Gadget - LoRaONE is all you need to create your own IoT solution. An Arduino compatible board packed with features and sensors, making it the ideal solution for makers and creators that can’t wait to make the Internet of Things a reality. It is easy to program, connected to its surroundings through numerous sensors and ready to go. The board has the size of a matchbox, so it can be placed anywhere you can think of. But best of all, it is connected everywhere through LoRa technology. When it comes to building the IoT, there’s nothing like LoraONE.
For the past months, we've worked hard to get LoRaONE to the final stages of development. The first beta users are already working with LoRaONE. To make the final step and start mass-production, we need your help. If you back us, not only do you help us to get LoRaONE out in the world, but you'll also receive one yourself in July 2016. So this summer you can start building on your LoRaWAN connected IoT.

What’s inside?

This board is based on our successful Autonomo. It has a proven 32-bit Arduino-compatible platform that is currently the first choice of millions of programmers around the world. Not only is it versatile, it is also extremely small, measuring only 40 x 25 millimeters. One of the characteristics of ARM Cortex M0 based boards is that they can be programmed to run extremely energy efficient, which is essential for your next IoT-project.
But maybe even more essential is the connection. We chose LoRa as we fully believe this is where the Internet of Things will come to full bloom. LoRa networks are easy to set up, have extremely long range and are rapidly being rolled out around the world. It works both indoors and outdoors. LoraONE connects easily and safely with your local LoRaWAN network, making the IoT a reality.
We’ve include a GPS-antenna in the LoRaONE, so it can track its location precisely. But this is not just any GPS. To make it ideal for the IoT, we have chosen the state-of-the-art u-blox Eva GPS moduleWhy is it state-of-the-art? Because it can be made to use less power than any other GPS we looked at. After switching off, the module keeps the almanac in memory. So when switching on, it can get a fix in just a few seconds. This allows us, for instance, to get a GPS fix every 5 minutes at less than 1% of the power needed for constant positioning by regular GPS. We call this near-realtime tracking and it is essential for our rhino-tracking project, which you can read about below. 
Included on the tiny board is also an accelerometer, opening up a wide range of possibilities. If there’s movement, the LoRaONE will know and can act accordingly. You can even let the sensors cooperate. So the GPS can safely switch off, until it the device detects movement. This minimizes energy usage even more, and will also keep you up to date about what’s going on with your LoRaONE.
Want more? LoraONE has a magnetometer, so it is able to detect magnetic fields. There’s aMicroUSB connector, so it can connect to your computer straight out of the box. There’s 14 I/O pins, to connect other sensors or devices. All can be used for digital and 12 for analog It has a button and LED, making it perfect for that wearable you always wanted to create.
Still not enough? If you opt for the Starter Kit, you’ll get some really cool extras. The ONEbase extension board makes this device a creators dream. Simply click the gadget on the base and you can directly connect all sorts of Grove modules, just like with our previous projects Autonomo and Mbili boardsIt also comes with an 800mAh rechargeable LiPo battery. And if you really don’t want to worry about losing power, you can use the 500mW solar panel, also included in the package.

Indian Mechanic Invents 'Water Fueled' Car

A car mechanic from India claims to have designed an astonishing car that runs on water.
Mohammad Raees Markani, 44, has been modifying an 800 cc engine for the last five years - and now believes he has made the scientific breakthrough.
The eco-friendly car uses a mix of water and carbides.
Incredibly, A one-litre mix of this concoction costs under two pence - making it more cost effective than traditional fuels.
Markani, from the state of Madhya Pradesh, said: "The car runs on acetylene gas , which is formed from a chemical reaction between calcium carbide and water.
"The gas is used for several industrial purposes including welding and portable lighting for miners. But in my case, I am using it to propel the car engines .
"I have made other changes to the engines, which helps the overall performance of the car . So basically, it is just about the water."
Markani has been a car mechanic for over 15 years.
He never went to school and cannot read or write. So the invention has been hailed as a great leap in Indian society - and made him a local celebrity.
"This idea struck my mind while I was gas welding a part of my car in my workshop many years ago. But I did not know how to go about it," Markani said.
"Somehow, I made a start and it took five years to make this efficient engine."
Markani now has a patent for his water car and has been invited by Chinese automobile companies to develop the idea further.
He added: "The market for environmentally friendly cars is getting bigger and automobile companies around the world are looking for eco-friendly ways to reduce pollution.
"So a car like mine can be a good alternative. It costs close to nothing to operate and it is environment-friendly."
All the companies that are interested in Raees's water car project will have to meet his one condition - any plant to make new cars will be established only in his hometown in Madhya Pradesh.
Markani said: "I want things to change in my hometown. So this is where my work should continue."
